JoySo, what has been going on in the holidays?
Well, a flu virus has been floating around my house. Unfortunately, I was the one who started it so I'm the one to get blamed... Well, not exactly blamed but I'm sure they hate me! I had it pretty lightly around the end of school and it ended around Easter Sunday, but then my sister contracted it and had it for the entire first week. My dad then got it around the middle of the first week and still has it... worse than my sister. Now my mum is showing symptoms of it and has to go back to work next week. Oops.
In the meantime, that means that my sister missed out on going to her friend's party and my dad missed out on work and now because my mum's sick, she and I miss out on the Comedy Festival. I was planning to go this weekend.
There was also the fact that my internet was playing up, but I managed to fix it and I hope it doesn't happen again. My sister also managed to spill apple cider over the keyboard and so all the letter buttons either didn't work, or gained a new function. For instance, pressing "o" would open spellcheck and "a" made a big space appear before the letter. It was quite weird, but fun to play around with. Now I have to get used to our new keyboard (It said it's spill resistant on the package, by the way.).
Oh well, I managed to go to Southland once and I had a haircut yesterday, so I suppose I have been out of the house a few times. Oh, we also went for lunch with our family for Easter so that was nice. And my sister loaded The Sims 2 on her laptop so I can finally play it again! I haven't played it for years! Only this time we don't have to wait for half an hour for it to load! Huzzah! And the graphics are 100 times better!!! Okay, I think I might tone it down a bit now... But I'm happy about that, the only thing bad about it is that it's on my sister's laptop and she tends to hog things... a lot. I'm sure she's better by now, though. ^_^
It's my birthday on Tuesday next week! I'm turning 17! I think I'll probably celebrate with my family tomorrow, seeing that on Tuesday my mum and I have to leave for school early and my mum will probably have a staff meeting and my dad's going to pilates. If that's how you spell it.
Mmmm... birthday cake....
School is returning like a big rash you thought you got rid of but that comes back even nastier than it was before. I'm only kidding, it's not really that bad but it sure tires me out. At the end of the week I just want to play "Dead Moose" for a looooong time.
Oh well, I shall look forward to the next holiday break!
